sisters akousmatica
Sisters Akousmatika was a one day public-radio event which included 11 female artists from around Australia, brought together in Melbourne. The performance was private, in a project space in central melbourne, but the sets were broadcast via 3cr comunity radio across the central city. Members of the public could tune in at different locations, guided by Tasmanian artist-curators Pip Stafford and Julia Drouhin in costume, carrying their radios and tuning in.
Eves (Edwina Stevens) played as part of the lineup, a 30 minute improvisation was broadcast under a black wave-like public sculpture in central Melbourne.
Sisters Akousmatica is a project supported by Liquid Architecture and Nextwave Festival.
