‘In Between’ in an ongoing project idea for exhibition which began through the remembrance of an improvised collaborative work between Performance and Sound Artist, Samin Son (Berlin) and Audiovisual Artists Eves (Melbourne/Aotearoa).

The work was shot in 2014 in an incidental wandering of in-between space in Fitzroy, Melbourne. Fitzroy was and still is under heavy gentrification and development for apartments. These in between spaces, objects and time afford space for experimentation and smaller contemplations of materiality, space, value and purpose.
Through the rediscovering of this work (never shown or acknowledged until 6 years after its creation) the idea of the in between has potential to expand to a group show to occur in Melbourne during 2020/21 (Covid-19 depending).
The original work follows as an online video. Below this is a series of selected screenshots by Samin Son as we continue together considering the potential of future projects in this way and how other practices and methodologies may emerge from such ideas.
